A field of outstanding candidates has been whittled down to the chosen six by the Glasgow Warriors coaching team, after a campaign that has seen the club make history on and off the field.

From an historic victory over Edinburgh in front of over 27,500 supporters at Hampden Park and reaching the last eight of the Investec Champions Cup, to raising over £70,000 and counting for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity, the achievements of the season to date will be celebrated in full at the club’s annual Awards Dinner – sponsored by The Malcolm Group – on Saturday 26 April at Hilton Glasgow.

You can vote for your McCrea Financial Services Player of the Season by clicking on the photo below – voting closes at 4pm on Wednesday 23 April.

The nominees – in alphabetical order by surname – are:

Zander Fagerson

Nominated for the second successive campaign, tight-head Fagerson continues to operate at the highest level for the Warriors as he helps to drive his team towards the playoffs.

The club centurion has anchored the Glasgow scrum to a 94% success rate in the BKT URC this season, whilst also providing a dynamic ball-carrying presence in the loose.

Fagerson also produced a power-packed performance in victory over Leicester Tigers in the last-16 of the Investec Champions Cup, helping his side to win two scrums against the head in a dominant display by the pack.

George Horne

A three-time winner of the McCrea Financial Services Player of the Season award, 2024/25 has been another landmark season in the career of 29-year-old Horne.

His 55th try in Glasgow colours, scored in trademark fashion against the Emirates Lions last month, saw the scrum-half overtake club legend DTH van der Merwe to go top of the club’s all-time try-scoring charts, a feat greeted with a rapturous ovation by the Warrior Nation.

Horne’s five tries in this season’s Investec Champions Cup – including a hat-trick against Sale Sharks at Scotstoun – also saw the scrum-half become the club’s leading try-scorer in European competitions, whilst the Howe of Fife product needs just one more point to reach 500 points in his Glasgow Warriors career to date.

Tom Jordan

Having featured in every match en route to the club’s historic league title triumph in 2023/24, Jordan has continued to be a force in the Glasgow Warriors midfield in 2024/25.

Comfortable at fly-half and in the centres, the former Ayrshire Bull has provided a host of important moments across the season to date, including an impressive cameo off the bench to help steer his team to a memorable victory over the DHL Stormers in Stellenbosch and a superbly-taken score in the historic win over Edinburgh at Hampden Park.

Only Sebastian Cancelliere has offloaded more in a Glasgow shirt than Jordan in the BKT URC this season, whilst his tally of 95 carries sits second to Kyle Rowe across the campaign thus far.

Josh McKay

The 2023/24 McCrea Financial Services Player of the Season has enjoyed another eye-catching campaign in Glasgow colours, with McKay continuing to endear himself to the Warrior Nation both on and off the field in 2024/25.

A memorable try away to RC Toulon in the Investec Champions Cup capped a composed performance from full-back, in a European campaign that also saw him amongst the club’s leaders for defenders beaten and offloads.

The full-back has also been in impressive form in domestic action, sitting inside the top 50 league-wide for metres made and offloads as the race for the playoffs intensifies.

Kyle Rowe

The electrifying ability of 27-year-old Rowe with ball in hand has been clear for all to see in 2024/25, as the Scotland flyer continued to highlight his game-breaking capabilities at Scotstoun and beyond.

Only Horne and Cancelliere have made more clean breaks than Rowe in the BKT URC, whilst only club captain Steyn has beaten more defenders than Rowe’s tally of 26.

It’s in the Investec Champions Cup that Rowe has lit up the statistics charts, however; his tally of 527 metres made – including an astounding 167 in victory over Leicester Tigers – sees him occupy third place across the entire competition, with his tallies for clean breaks (12) and defenders beaten (22) also earning him a place inside the top five in both categories.

Sione Tuipulotu

2024/25 has seen Tuipulotu go from strength to strength in Glasgow colours, developing and enhancing his reputation as one of the global game’s premier centres through a series of high-calibre performances.

The Scotland star started the season in barnstorming fashion, collecting Player of the Match medals in Glasgow’s victories away to the DHL Stormers – in a performance that also saw the centre score one try and create another – and at home to Edinburgh in the 1872 Cup opener at Hampden Park.

His try against Racing 92 at Scotstoun also showcased his innate ability to cut the perfect angle with ball in hand, whilst his leadership abilities have seen him deputise for club captain, Kyle Steyn, on multiple occasions in 2024/25 to date.
