George Horne has been named as the 2025/26 Allied Mobility Player of the Season, the latest milestone in a landmark campaign for the Glasgow Warriors scrum-half.
The 30-year-old was presented with his award at the club’s annual Awards Dinner, sponsored by The Malcolm Group, at Hilton Glasgow, narrowly edging out Stafford McDowall in a supporters’ poll to take home the trophy.
It is the fifth time – extending his own club record – that Horne has been recognised with the prize, following previous wins in 2018, 2020, 2023 and 2025, whilst he becomes the first player to claim the award in back-to-back seasons since club records began in 2010.
The scrum-half brought up 150 appearances for Glasgow Warriors in January, touching down against Saracens in a Player of the Match-winning performance to mark the occasion in style.
McDowall would not leave the evening empty-handed, after picking up a brace of awards following a standout campaign in the Glasgow midfield.
The centre was recognised by his peers as he took home the Denholm Energy Services Players’ Player of the Season for the second time in three seasons, whilst also being honoured by the club’s coaching team with The Famous Grouse Coaches’ Award after a season that saw him reach 100 appearances for the club with a try-scoring display away to Sale Sharks in December.
Aicha Sutcliffe was named as the Elior Coaches’ Player of the Season after a standout campaign in the Celtic Challenge for Glasgow Warriors, earning the recognition from Lindsey Smith and her coaching team after featuring prominently in every fixture for the club this season.
Her Celtic Challenge form saw her earn a first senior Scotland call-up ahead of the Guinness Six Nations, scoring a try on her senior international debut against France in Edinburgh.
Holland Bogan was voted as the University of Strathclyde Players’ Player of the Season, in memory of Siobhan Cattigan, after a series of barnstorming displays for the Warriors this season.
No Glasgow player made more carries across the Celtic Challenge campaign than the second-rower, who was rewarded for her form with a senior Scotland debut against Wales in the opening match of the Guinness Six Nations.
Seb Stephen took home the Slater Menswear Breakthrough Player of the Season prize, following a season that saw the hooker become a mainstay in the Glasgow Warriors matchday setup.
His performances have seen him earn a first professional contract with the club, whilst also earning him a call-up to the Scotland A squad earlier this season.
The Harper Macleod Test Player of the Season prize was presented to club captain Kyle Steyn, whose form in the international arena continued to add to his reputation as one of the northern hemisphere’s premier wingers.
A brace of tries against France and two Player of the Match-winning displays saw Steyn nominated for the Guinness Six Nations Player of the Championship award, the first Warrior to be nominated since 2017.
Patrick Schickerling took home the Mackenzie Construction Most Improved Player of the Season, the prop having become a fixture in the club’s matchday squads in his second campaign at Scotstoun.
Comfortable at loose-head or tight-head, his dynamism in both attack and defence has seen him feature prominently in some of the club’s biggest results across the 2025/26 season to date.
The Malcolm Group Leadership Award went to Rory Darge for the first time in his Glasgow Warriors career, the openside continuing his consistently high levels of performance across the campaign.
The flanker has been at the heart of Glasgow’s charge in both the BKT URC and Investec Champions Cup, recording 10 turnovers across all competitions to date.
