Head Coach Franco Smith has nominated four players to be the final One Four Nine Wealth Men’s Warrior of the Month of the season.
The month of May saw Glasgow finish the regular season top of the BKT United Rugby Championship with back-to-back bonus point victories over Cardiff and Ulster.
The squad then signed off from Scotstoun in style with a thrilling 33-21 victory over Connacht in the Quarter Finals and the following players have been nominated for their outstanding performances across the three matches:

Rory Darge
Rory Darge was at the heart of Glasgow’s unbeaten month, producing influential displays all three games.
Also nominated in April, the flanker led from the front with his tireless work at the breakdown, relentless defensive effort and trademark intensity demonstrated by his 20 tackles and 3 turnovers in Glasgow’s Quarter Final victory.
Consistently setting the standard, Darge once again proved why he is one of the team’s most important leaders.
Stafford McDowall
In a month that he was named Coaches Player and Player’s Player of the Year at the club’s annual awards dinner, Stafford McDowall demonstrated exactly why he is so highly rated by those he works with.
An early try in Belfast set Glasgow on the way to their first away victory over Ulster since 2013, a game in which McDowall made 19 carries and beat 7 defenders.
Like Darge, he was nominated last month too and his leadership and influence over the wider team’s performance was clear for all to see across the three matches in May.
Patrick Schickerling
Patrick Schickerling enjoyed a standout month in a Glasgow jersey, crossing the whitewash in victories over Cardiff and Connacht.
The prop combined his eye for the try-line with his customary physicality at the set-piece and around the park, providing a powerful presence in all three matches.
He is the third player to be nominated for consecutive months, along with Darge and McDowall, which demonstrates just how consistent a performer he was in the run-in to the play-offs.
Kyle Steyn
The club captain also scored in the victory over Cardiff, but it was his all-court performance against Connacht that grabbed the headlines.
A brace of tries, a 50-22 and a chase down on Josh Ioane who looked destined to score resulted in Steyn rightfully being named Player of the Match.
Consistently world class, the winger has now scored more tries in play-off matches for Glasgow Warriors than any other player.
