Glasgow Warriors surpass £250,000 fundraising milestone for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity

The milestone marks a significant achievement for the club’s ongoing partnership with Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity, with the campaign bringing together Warriors supporters, players, staff, sponsors, grassroots rugby clubs and the wider community to support children and families receiving care.

Launched during the 2023/24 season, Fighting for our Families has now entered its fourth consecutive season, with fundraising continuing throughout the 2026/27 campaign.

The campaign raised £53,970.54 in 2023/24, followed by £102,292.87 in 2024/25 and a further £92,332.39 in 2025/26, with the overall total now surpassing £250,000.

The milestone is the result of countless fundraising efforts from across the Warrior Nation, with a number of supporters and partners making significant contributions to the campaign.

Club partner Cameron House has played a key role in helping the club deliver its annual Plaster It Purple campaign, while also encouraging its customers to donate to Fighting for our Families when making bookings, raising a significant amount for the charity.

At Ardrossan Rugby Club, Kimberly Guffie has overseen the club’s fundraising activities for consecutive seasons, helping the grassroots club make a significant contribution to the campaign.

Young supporter Finn Brown has also gone above and beyond for the cause. Finn raised £2,000 by having his head shaved for Fighting for our Families, before taking on the Three Peaks Challenge in just 36 hours and raising a further £5,500. He has also completed the West Highland Way as part of his fundraising efforts.

The club’s two official supporter groups, The XVIth Warrior and the Glasgow Warriors Supporters Forum, have also played an important role in bringing supporters together to raise funds, while Douglas McCrea has helped generate a significant contribution through the organisation of the Glasgow Warriors Sponsors Dinner.

“There are so many stories behind that £250,000 figure, and each one demonstrates the generosity and commitment of our supporters. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has donated, organised an event, taken on a challenge or encouraged others to get involved.

“Our partnership with Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity is incredibly important to the club, and we are proud that the funds raised through Fighting for our Families can make a tangible difference to children and families receiving care.

“As we enter our fourth season of fundraising, we hope this milestone provides even more inspiration for everyone to get involved and help us continue Fighting for our Families.”

The Fighting for our Families campaign will continue throughout the 2026/27 season, with the club’s annual Plaster It Purple fixture – this year taking place on the home clash with Benetton on Saturday 5 December (kick-off 7.45pm) – once again forming a centre-piece of the fundraising effort.

The Warrior Nation has raised £250,000. Now the next chapter begins.
