Oliver first picked up a rugby ball at Garryowen RFC in Ireland, representing the men in green at U20 level whilst in the Munster age-grade system.
The scrum-half first represented Glasgow Warriors A in victory over Benetton U23, scoring one of Glasgow’s eight tries in Treviso.
Born in Hawick, he is the son of former Scotland international Greig Oliver.
