Glasgow Warriors A were edged out by the narrowest of margins in a full-blooded encounter at Scotstoun this afternoon, as Edinburgh A snuck a 27-26 victory in the cross-country clash.
Gregor Hiddleston, Duncan Munn and Kerr Johnston all crossed for the home side, in addition to a penalty try, with Ross Thompson kicking two of his three conversion attempts.
26 of the 27 Warriors involved in the fixture were Scottish-qualified, with Argentinian international Enrique Pieretto the sole exception.
In addition, 16 of the squad were involved in the recent FOSROC Super Series for their respective clubs, including seven of the club’s senior academy and seven invitees to the Glasgow setup – Luca Bardelli and Grant Stewart of Ayrshire Bulls; Tom Smith, Connor Gordon and Eric Davey of Stirling Wolves; Jack Blain of Heriot’s; and Conor McAlpine of Watsonians.
