FOOD AND DRINK

We continue to work with the best independent local street food traders, and we are excited to share the new season’s refreshed food and drink offer.

As ever, we strive to ensure the range of food and drink offers something for everyone. Vendors have been chosen for the quality of their food, and prices and portions sizes are monitored to ensure they offer value for money. Some traders are offering Childrens portions at reduced prices, and all dietary requirements are catered for, including halal, vegetarian, vegan and gluten free.

Making their debut this season will be Pizza Pitch, SMSH BRGR, and Greek Gyros, from the team behind Salt and Chilli Chicken who will also return. Streat Scullery are back with their new burger menu, and hot drinks are covered by Hector & Harriet and Dippin’ Donuts.

All our food and drinks at these vendors are freshly made and prepared to order so please leave plenty of time to order and collect your food before heading to your seat.

Update on drinks decanting: We are obliged to follow Glasgow City Council licensing regulations delivered at all Glasgow sports events. Meaning all drinks served at our kiosks and food vans are decanted into cups.

During the off-season we asked Glasgow Life to request a dispensation for Scotstoun Stadium, to relax this rule and allow customers to keep soft drinks bottles. This request was then made to Glasgow City Council and its dedicated Safety Advisory Group (SAG). Ultimately, the request is to help reduce single-use plastic waste and to allow customers, notably those with additional support needs, to keep sealed plastic water and soft drinks bottles to make it easier to carry purchased drinks around the stadium. We had the support of the safety team from Glasgow Life at the Stadium but the request was declined by the SAG.

We must be clear that this is not a decision taken by the individual, independent food and drinks suppliers serving our customers on match day, therefore, we asks that these suppliers are shown respect in regard to this issue.

We will continue to work with Glasgow Life and the Council to try to find a suitable, more favourable solution in future.
