Glasgow Warriors will open the 2024/25 BKT United Rugby Championship season with a trip to Belfast, after the fixtures the new season were confirmed this morning by the competition organisers.

Franco Smith’s squad will take on Ulster at the Kingspan Stadium on the opening weekend, with kick-off scheduled for 7.45pm on Saturday 21 September.

The Warrior Nation will then get the chance to roar on their team at Scotstoun for the first time in the new season just six days later, as Benetton visit Glasgow’s west end on Friday 27 September (kick-off 7.35pm).

A visit to Cardiff Arms Park follows in round three, before a second Scottish-Italian Shield clash in the opening four rounds follows when Zebre Parma visit Scotstoun on Friday 11 October (7.35pm).

Smith’s men then travel to South Africa for a double-header with the Hollywoodbets Sharks and DHL Stormers in rounds five and six, with the competition then breaking for the Autumn Nations Series across November.

The Warriors return to Scotstoun to take on the Scarlets on Friday 29 November (kick-off 7.35pm) ahead of the Investec Champions Cup taking centre stage, before the 1872 Cup returns in December; Glasgow welcome cross-country rivals Edinburgh on Saturday 21 December (5.15pm), before making the trip to Scottish Gas Murrayfield on Saturday 28 December (3pm).

Connacht will be Glasgow’s first-footers in the league in 2025, as the Galway-based province visit Scotstoun on Friday 24 January (7.35pm) in round 10 prior to the international break for the Guinness Six Nations, the Warriors heading to Rodney Parade to take on the Dragons during the first fallow week.

A run of three back-to-back home clashes begins with the Ospreys visiting Scotstoun on Saturday 1 March (7.35pm), with Munster on Friday 21 March (7.35pm) and the Emirates Lions on Saturday 29 March (7.35pm) following suit.

Smith’s squad then hit the road to take on Zebre Parma, returning home to face the Vodacom Bulls on Friday 25 April (7.35pm) before travelling back to Italy for a clash with Benetton in Treviso a fortnight later.

The Warriors close out the regular season with a visit to Dublin, as they return to the Aviva Stadium on Saturday 17 May (7.35pm) to take on Leinster in round 18.
