A product of the FOSROC Scottish Rugby Academy, the flanker made his professional debut for Edinburgh against Leinster in November 2020.
Prior to penning his first professional contract, Darge had represented Southern Knights in the inaugural FOSROC Super6 campaign, as well as turning out for Melrose in the Tennents Premiership.
Having come through the ranks at North Berwick RFC, he made his Scotland U20 debut at the age of just 17, going on to earn 13 caps for the age-grade side in addition to captaining the team in the 2020 U20 Six Nations.
He made his first appearance for Glasgow Warriors in April 2021, coming off the bench away to Benetton in the opening match of the 2021 Rainbow Cup.
An impressive showing against the Dragons in the competition saw him earn the Player of the Match award, his performance highlighting his dynamism with ball in hand in addition to his breakdown expertise.
The opening match of the 2024/25 BKT URC campaign saw the flanker record 39 tackles in a single fixture, an all-action display away to Ulster further underlining his calibre in the back-row.
Darge was named Scotland co-captain ahead of the 2024 Guinness Six Nations alongside Finn Russell, a role in which he continued during the 2024 Summer Tour and re-assumed during the 2025 tour of the Pacific.
He earned BKT Player of the Match honours at Hampden Park in December 2025, helping his side to a 24-12 win over Edinburgh.
