Max Williamson first signed professional terms with the Warriors ahead of the 2022/23 season, one of four graduates from the FOSROC Scottish Rugby Academy.
A powerful second-rower, the highly-rated former Dollar Academy man impressed in his first season in the academy at Scotstoun, learning from senior players such as Rob Harley and Richie Gray.
He scored his first professional try in March 2024, hitting a line at pace to crash over in a 17-13 victory over Cardiff at Scotstoun.
Williamson was invited to train with the senior Scotland squad during the 2021 Guinness Six Nations, as one of Gregor Townsend’s ‘apprentice players’ during the tournament.
Having previously represented the Warriors in pre-season matches against Newcastle Falcons in 2021 and Ulster in 2023, Williamson made his professional debut off the bench in a 26-12 victory over Benetton at Scotstoun with his family watching on from the Main Stand.
The second-rower studies at the University of Strathclyde.
