Voting opens for the One Four Nine Wealth Warrior of the Month for October

Head Coach Franco Smith has shortlisted four players for the second One Four Nine Wealth Warrior of the Month of the 2025/26 season with the Warriors ending the first block of United Rugby Championship fixtures four wins from five.

Having won their first game of the season against Hollywoodbets Sharks, Glasgow’s first away game of the season went down to the wire with a last minute Rhyno Smith drop goal snatching victory for Benetton in Treviso.

Franco Smith’s men bounced back with a bonus point victory against the Dragons on their return to Scotstoun, scoring seven tries and conceding none in a comprehensive 49-0 win.

Next up was a trip to Bridgend and a visit to the Ospreys. After a tight first half Glasgow’s quality shone in the second 40, running out 17-42 winners.

To round off block one the Vodacom Bulls visited Scotstoun and it took a hugely physical performance from the Warriors to win 21-12.

Supporters can vote for their winner until 5pm on Wednesday 5th November over on the Engage Engine app: https://bit.ly/3LjKC1D

The nominees are:

 Jamie Dobie

Jamie Dobie played three of Glasgow’s four games in October, rested for the victory over the Bulls after two starts at scrum-half and one on the wing.

It was his player of the match performance against the Ospreys that pleased the Warrior Nation most, scoring two tries and dictating the side confidently and maturely.

Matt Fagerson

Like Dobie, Matt Fagerson featured in three of Glasgow’s four games in October and also played in different positions with two starts at 8 and one at 7.

Despite defeat in Italy Fagerson was named Defender of the Week by Scott Forrest after an impressive 100% tackle completion and 56% ruck disruption.

Alex Samuel

A mainstay in the Warriors side across October, Alex Samuel started or came off the bench in all four of Glasgow’s games in an incredibly competitive position.

The second row’s influence has contributed to a 93% line out success rate to start the season and his form earned him a place in Gregor Townsend’s Scotland squad for the Autumn Nations Series.

Ollie Smith

Also nominated in September, Ollie Smith’s impressive start to the season continued as he demonstrated his versatility.

Having started on the wing in the opening game of the season, Smith went on to be named at outside centre and full back in October with his performances in a Glasgow shirt earning him a spot in the Scotland squad for the upcoming Autumn internationals.
