Thirteen Glasgow Warriors have been named in the Scotland squad to face USA in the opening match of the Quilter Nations Series.
Stafford McDowall will captain his country for the third time having lead the side in the uncapped summer match against New Zealand Mãori and also against Portugal last November.
Jamie Dobie and Scott Cummings have both been named as vice-captains, the first time both have held the leadership role for their country.
Outside of Dobie, Adam Hastings starts at fly-half with Ollie Smith wearing 13 to make it a full Glasgow Warriors midfield. Kyle Rowe starts at full-back.
Rory Sutherland joins fellow British & Irish Lion Cummings in the pack while Jack Dempsey starts at Number 8, fresh from a successful return from injury against the Vodacom Bulls at Scotstoun last Friday.
On the bench, Nathan McBeth and Murphy Walker cover both prop positions while Alex Samuel and Max Williamson will make an impact in the second row. George Horne deputises for his Warriors teammate Dobie at 9.
