The duo are the only uncapped players included in Gregor Townsend’s 36-strong squad for the matches against Argentina, South Africa and Fiji, Scotland’s first three matches in the newly-created competition.
Sione Tuipulotu will continue as the squad’s captain, having led his side in Scotland’s best-ever Guinness Six Nations earlier this year.
Scott Cummings could win his 50th cap for his country on tour, having missed out on the closing match of the Guinness Six Nations due to injury.
In total, four Warriors are selected amongst the options at second-row, with Alex Samuel – rewarded after a barnstorming campaign in Glasgow colours – joining Cummings, Max Williamson and Gregor Brown in the engine room.
Zander Fagerson is the most-experienced Warrior selected in the squad as the tight-head looks to add to his tally of 81 caps, with Nathan McBeth and Rory Sutherland also named amongst the group of props selected.
Rory Darge is included after making more tackles than any other Warrior during Saturday’s BKT United Rugby Championship Semi Final clash with the Vodacom Bulls in a typically energetic defensive display, as he joins Matt Fagerson – second only to Darge for tackles in the match – and Jack Dempsey in the back-row.
Jamie Dobie is selected after playing the full 80 minutes in Saturday’s match for his first appearance since February, with Glasgow’s top-scorer this season, George Horne, joining him as two of the three scrum-halves selected by Townsend and his coaching team.
Tuipulotu is joined in the midfield options by Stafford McDowall, who played more minutes than any other Warrior across the course of the 2025/26 season.
Ollie Smith provides cover across the back-line, having featured at full-back, centre, wing and fly-half at points for the Warriors during an impressive campaign.
Kyle Rowe and Kyle Steyn complete the Glasgow contingent selected for international duty, the latter’s brace of tries during Saturday’s clash at Scottish Gas Murrayfield extending his lead as Glasgow’s all-time leading try-scorer in knockout matches.
Scotland open their Nations Championship series against Argentina in Cordoba on Saturday 4 July, before facing South Africa in Pretoria a week later – both matches will be live on ITV and STV.
