What’s On | The Famous Grouse Pre-Season Friendly

We’re now just a little more than two weeks’ away from facing Zebre Parma in The Famous Grouse Pre-Season Friendly on Saturday 30 September.

This is the first time we’ll run out at Scotstoun Stadium since playing Munster in the BKT United Rugby Championship quarter-final back in May.

It’s also your first opportunity to see our latest signings in action. Henco Venter who arrived from the Hollwoodbets Sharks, and Logan Trotter and Kyle Rowe who moved north from London Irish are all in contention to start.

On the day, gates will open at 4.30pm. The match then kicks off at 6pm. There is also the option to purchase tickets to watch the Rugby World Cup round three game between Scotland and Romania in Club KubeNet later in the evening.

Glasgow Warriors Season Ticket Members have The Famous Grouse Pre-Season Friendly included in their membership. Meanwhile, general ticket purchasers can come for as little as £10 for adult and £4 for under-12s.

Around the stadium you can look forward to a selection regular match day activities.

New food and drink offerings

We’re delighted to have three new independent Scottish food and drink suppliers at the Stadium for this match. This season we are improving the quality of our food and drinks offerings and will be working with these suppliers and others throughout 2023/24.

You can look forward to the following options at this match:

Hector and Harriet have your hot drinks covered with their extensive range of speciality beverages. Each one made with love by this family run independent business.

On match days Hector and Harriet will have units behind both the east and the west stands.

All their coffee is Fairtrade, with your choice of alternative milks.

Signature specialities include deluxe hot chocolate laden with marshmallows, cream, crushed Biscoff and a flake, and specialty lattes including pumpkin spice and gingerbread. Plus, delicious freshly made and vegan friendly warm churros, drizzled in the sauce of your choice, gluten free traybakes, and vegan empire biscuits!

Feeling peckish? You will be when you spot Screaming Peacock serving up delicious 100% wild game burgers, with all game sourced fresh through our family business in Fife. Choose The Screamer, wild venison burger with melted cheese, sticky fried onions and peacock sauce, or The Scratcher, Scottish pheasant with cheese and fresh coriander. Veggies and vegans are covered also with their chickpea and lentil burgers, fondly known as The Pecker, and their signature twice fried rosemary fries are vegan, gluten free, and seasoned to perfection.

This female led enterprise, Total Meltdown Grilled Cheese take toasties to the next level.

Toasted sourdough, oozing with mature cheddar cheese grilled to perfection, and your choice of tasty filling like creamy Italian nduja salami, chilli jam, red onion, or carvery ham.

There’s also gluten free bread and vegan cheese and fillings available, like kimchi and sauerkraut.

Also with children’s portions at a reduced price, there’s a tremendous toastie for everyone.

This wonderful trader is brought to you by the team behind Babu Bombay Street Kitchen, and sources its artisan cheese from We Are Starter Culture’s southside shop.
