Now in their third season of competing in the Celtic Challenge, Lindsey Smith’s group began the 2025/26 campaign in memorable fashion, running in six tries to claim a 36-17 victory over Brython Thunder in Llanelli for a first-ever away win.
The Warriors then claimed a valuable brace of bonus-points a week later in defeat to Edinburgh at Hive Stadium, a result that sees them tied for second place in the standings ahead of this weekend’s home opener against Gwalia Lightning at Scotstoun.

The nominees are:
Holland Bogan
Having featured in each of Glasgow’s three seasons in the Celtic Challenge to date, Bogan has started the 2025/26 campaign in typically all-action fashion.
The second-rower has made more carries than any other Warrior to date, whilst her brace of tries against Edinburgh proved crucial in securing both bonus-points a fortnight ago.
She has also served as one of the club’s co-captains in the opening two rounds Celtic Challenge, sharing the leadership responsibilities with fellow Stirling County standout, Ceitidh Ainsworth.
Nicole Flynn
A late-season addition to Smith’s Celtic Challenge squad in 2024/25, centre Flynn has flown out of the blocks in her first full campaign as a Glasgow Warrior.
No Warrior has made more tackles than Flynn’s tally of 32 across the opening two matches, whilst her acceleration and footwork have also made her a tough proposition for opposition defences to handle.
She was rewarded with Player of the Match honours in victory over Brython Thunder, having also supplied two try assists across the course of the 80 minutes.
Hannah Smyth
Smyth has impressed after making her Glasgow Warriors debut away to Brython Thunder in the opening match of the campaign, bringing even more speed and elusiveness to the club’s back-line.
The winger leads the club for metres made with ball in hand, marking her debut in perfect fashion by scoring twice at Parc y Scarlets.
A third try in two matches followed when she finished off a flowing team move at Hive Stadium last time out, a score that sees her tied at the top of the try-scoring charts after the opening two rounds.
Sky Phimister
Flying winger Phimister has picked up where she left off for Stirling County in the Arnold Clark Premiership, following up her four tries in the Grand Final with a further three in her opening two matches of the Celtic Challenge campaign.
Like her fellow winger Smyth, she registered two of her scores in victory away to Brython Thunder, before following up with a well-taken finish against Edinburgh a week later.
Phimister is one of five players in this season’s Celtic Challenge squad that also featured in the club’s first-ever fixture in December 2023, and has featured in all three campaigns to date.
