Her try against the Wolfhounds at Scotstoun showcased all of her qualities with ball in hand, evading two tackles before sprinting home from 35 metres out.

McNamara’s tactical kicking also saw her routinely apply pressure to the opposition across February, providing a key platform for her team-mates.

The award comes at the end of a Celtic Challenge campaign that saw Glasgow Warriors set club records on and off the field, recording their highest ever number of bonus-points and welcoming a crowd of 1,841 to Scotstoun for their clash with Edinburgh – a new high for a standalone women’s fixture.
