Glasgow Warriors showed their dominance over Edinburgh Rugby at Hampden Park once more.
Despite a slow first half, Glasgow came alive in the second and scored three tries to secure the bonus point win and keeping Edinburgh pointless for the second year running.
“I think that’s the biggest crowd I’ve ever played in front of” said Seb Stephen, to glasgowwarriors.org, “It’s just special to get the win in front of that many Glasgow supporters.”
Stephen was the player who scored not only the bonus point try, but it was his first try in Glasgow colours. The try was promptly reviewed and foul play from Edinburgh saw a sin binning for Hunter-Hill.
“I was unsure about if it was going to get disallowed or not, because I wasn’t sure what they were reviewing or checking.
“But then I realised he hit me in the back, so it wasn’t my fault, so I was pretty pleased with it.”
“It was pretty unreal and special to have my family watching”, he said speaking of his try, “It was such an unreal moment.”

This was only the first leg of the 1872 Cup, as Glasgow head to Scottish Gas Murrayfield next weekend to play Edinburgh once more.
“Hopefully, I’ll get in the team for next weekend. That’s my main focus, then just try and impact in that performance and back up today’s performance.”
The Warrior Nation, were once out in full force and brought the noise.
“Thank you so much for coming today! The atmosphere was unreal and it was so cool to have that many Glasgow supporters.
“Thank you for all your support, hope you have a great Christmas!”
