Following last weekend’s win over the DHL Stormers, Glasgow Warriors will be keen to get that all important away win on the road. Both Glasgow and the Ospreys have two out of three wins from the opening rounds of the BKT United Rugby Championship.

Ospreys lost their opening match against Connacht but have since found their form with wins over Zebre Parma and Hollywoodbets Sharks. They have won their last two URC matches in Swansea but have not won three in succession at the stadium since May 2022.

Of the past six meetings between the two sides, the teams are tied with three wins, each from their own home ground. The last meeting between the two sides was in October 2022, where the Ospreys won 32-17 over Glasgow Warriors at the Swansea.com Stadium. However, Glasgow have won their last four matches against Welsh opponents in all competitions.

Glasgow Warriors will likely be rotating our some of their internationalists who are due a break post Rugby World Cup, but with the depth of squad and the other returning players, the team is certain to still come out strong.

Of the starting squad from October 2022, the likes of Jamie Bhatti, Richie Gray, Sione Tuipulotu and Sebastian Cancelliere could all once again face the Ospreys in Swansea. Johnny Matthews could well be in the mix and if he continues on his try scoring form, could help Glasgow rack up points in true Matthews fashion.

From the Ospreys side, their returning Welsh Internationals have yet to make an appearance this season, but the seven players who were at the Rugby World Cup, potentially could make a return to the pitch on Saturday.

Morgan Morris from the Ospreys is definitely one to watch on Saturday should he be selected. The back-rower was named Man of the Match in the Ospreys win over the Sharks for his ball carrying and work over the ball. He will certainly face a challenge as well as bring one to the Glasgow Warriors back row at the weekend.

Glasgow Warriors’ next home match is against Benneton on Saturday 18 November. Tickets and more information can be found here.
