Lions name three Warriors for AUNZ Invitational clash
All three Glasgow Warriors in the 2025 British & Irish Lions squad have been named in the matchday 23 to take on the AUNZ Invitational XV this Saturday, in what will be the final audition to stake a claim for a place in the squad for the first Test against Australia.
The match sees the Lions take on a squad including 17 internationals at the Adelaide Oval, the first time a combined Australia and New Zealand squad will face the men in red since 1989.
Both Glasgow Warriors centres will start for Andy Farrell’s men, with Huw Jones – fresh from a brace of tries in his last outing, last Saturday’s win over the Waratahs – lining up outside Sione Tuipulotu.
Scott Cummings starts on the bench after an eye-catching display in Sydney last weekend, the second-rower having produced an all-action performance to boost his own Test ambitions.
The match kicks off at 11am this Saturday, with supporters able to watch live on Sky Sports.
