Harper Macleod extends partnership with Glasgow Warriors
Law firm Harper Macleod is continuing its long-standing partnership with Glasgow Warriors for a further two years, extending its relationship with the Scotstoun outfit until 2027.
Harper Macleod’s partnership with Glasgow Warriors started 10 years ago. In this time, the Warriors has established itself as an elite European team, winning the Pro12 title in 2015, becoming the first Scottish team to win a major trophy, and the United Rugby Championship in 2024. This summer, four Glasgow Warriors were selected to tour Australia as part of the British and Irish Lions squad.
This relationship not only reinforces Harper Macleod’s continued support for elite sport in Scotland but also reflects its broader commitment to grassroots sport, community engagement and leadership in the sports law sector.
The partnership includes initiatives such as supporter competitions and backing for campaigns such as “Fighting for our Families,” the Warriors’ goal to raise £85,000 for the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity.
Harper Macleod established Scotland’s first recognised sports law team and has been ranked in the top tier for sports law by the UK’s leading independent legal directories since 1999.
Martin Darroch, Harper Macleod’s chief executive, said: “Our continued partnership with Glasgow Warriors is a reflection of Harper Macleod’s commitment to Scottish sport at all levels. We see the positive impact sport can have on people’s lives through participation, attendance and bringing communities together.
“With several Warriors players named in the British and Irish Lions squad this summer, it’s a particularly proud moment to be associated with such a high performing team. We look forward to maintaining this strong partnership over the next two years.”
Al Kellock, Managing Director of Glasgow Warriors, said: “We’re pleased to renew our partnership with Harper Macleod, whose long-standing support has been invaluable to the club over the past decade.
“Their expertise is second to none, and they consistently demonstrate why they are regarded as Scotland’s leading sports law firm.
“We’ve always enjoyed a strong and collaborative relationship with Harper Macleod. We share many values that drive excellence in both our sectors, and we look forward to continuing to grow and learn from one another.”
