The campaign returns after a record-breaking 2024/25 season in which the club’s supporters, sponsors, and community clubs came together to smash a pre-season fundraising target of £85,000, raising an incredible £101,833 in support of young patients and their families across the city.

2025/26 will be the ninth year the club has supported the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity and the third of the Fighting For Our Families campaign, with £155,804 raised cumulatively in years one and two.

To officially launch this year’s campaign, a handful of volunteers who went above and beyond to make last year’s efforts possible came together at Scotstoun Stadium during the club’s Round One BKT United Rugby Championship victory over Hollywoodbets Sharks.

Representatives from community clubs GHK, Ardrossan, Strathaven, club partner Allied Mobility, official supporter groups The XVIth Warrior, the Glasgow Warriors Supporters Forum, and young volunteer Finn Brown joined the family of Austin Thornley, a young boy who recently received care at the hospital on the pitch at half time.

This season’s campaign will once again be anchored by the club’s Plaster It Purple fixture, with full details and the match date to be announced in the coming weeks.

Last season, the Warrior Nation came together to raise a whopping £20,855.83 at club’s game v Emirates Lions and supporters can look forward to another celebration of community spirit and generosity this coming season.

Kenny Brown, Interim Managing Director of Glasgow Warriors, said: “Last season showed the very best of the Warrior Nation. To raise over £100,000 was a phenomenal achievement and a testament to the passion and generosity of our supporters, sponsors, community clubs and partners.

“The Fighting For Our Families campaign is about more than rugby, it’s about standing shoulder to shoulder with families who need it most and making a real difference to the lives of young people in the city we are proud to represent.”

William McGowan, Head of Partnerships at Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity said“We are thrilled to be continuing our partnership with Glasgow Warriors after such an incredible first year.

The funds raised make a huge difference to the lives of children and families in hospital, providing vital support services and drastically benefiting the experience of young patients.

The Warrior Nation has shown what can be achieved when a community comes together, and we are excited to see what we can do together this season.”
