Nine Warriors selected to take on Los Pumas

Nine Glasgow Warriors will take to the field for Scotland this Sunday, as Gregor Townsend’s squad welcomes Argentina to Scottish Gas Murrayfield in their third match of the Quilter Nations Series.

All bar one of the Warriors selected were also involved in last weekend’s defeat to new Zealand, with Nathan McBeth – selected on the bench in place of Rory Sutherland, who misses the match due to concussion – the only new addition amongst the Glasgow cohort.

Rory Darge makes his first start since Glasgow’s opening match of the BKT United Rugby Championship campaign, having made his return from injury off the bench in last Saturday’s clash with the All Blacks.

Jack Dempsey retains his place at number eight after a barnstorming performance last weekend, the back-rower having made more carries and more metres than any other player on the Scottish Gas Murrayfield pitch last Saturday afternoon.

Gregor Brown once again makes it an all-Glasgow back-row, having been Scotland’s joint-top tackler against New Zealand last weekend.

Scott Cummings rounds out the quartet of Warriors selected in the starting pack, as the 2025 British & Irish Lion prepares to win his 45th cap for his country.

Behind the scrum, Sione Tuipulotu will once again captain the side, the inside centre having tied with Brown’s tally of 17 tackles last Saturday.

Kyle Steyn is retained on the wing after an impressive all-round performance against New Zealand, the Glasgow Warriors club captain having marked his display with a well-taken try in front of a sold-out crowd.

Matt Fagerson rotates to the bench after starting last time out, wearing the number 20 jersey in a five-three split of forwards and backs.

Jamie Dobie completes the Glasgow contingent, the scrum-half featuring in a Scotland matchday 23 for the sixth successive Test match.

Kick-off on Sunday is scheduled for 3.10pm, with all the action live on TNT Sports.
