The 20-year-old becomes the seventh academy prospect to graduate to the professional ranks ahead of the new season, joining Macenzzie Duncan, Matthew Urwin, Jack Oliver, Johnny Ventisei, Fergus Watson and Seb Stephen in stepping up for 2026/27.
Yule has enjoyed a breakthrough season at Scotstoun, making his debut for the club in the opening match of the 2025/26 campaign by helping Franco Smith’s side to victory over the Hollywoodbets Sharks in front of the Warrior Nation.
A product of West of Scotland RFC, he has made four appearances to date, most recently in February’s clash with Connacht at the Dexcom Stadium.
The centre – who has represented Glasgow at U18, U20, U23 and A level – can also lay claim to being the most-capped Scotland U20 player of all time, having made his 25th appearance for the age-grade side in last summer’s World Rugby U20 Championship against Georgia.
“I’m absolutely buzzing,” Yule told glasgowwarriors.org following the announcement.
“I’ve been coming to Glasgow Warriors matches for longer than I can remember – I think I first came to a game when I was maybe five or six years old. To sign my first pro deal with the Warriors means everything to me.
“If you told me at the start of this season that I’d be involved as much as I have been, I probably wouldn’t have believed you. I’m just grateful for all the opportunities that have come my way from Franco and the coaches this year, and to make my debut in the first game of the season was an unreal experience.
“It’s also class to be graduating from the academy amongst such a good bunch of guys I’ve grown up playing with. To have all been in the academy for the last three years and to now be signing pro deals together is class.
“I just want to keep working hard and putting my hand up for more opportunities to play. Whenever those opportunities come my way, I want to be in the best position possible to take them with both hands and improve week by week.”
Head Coach Smith added: “Even at a relatively young age, Kerr is a dynamic ball-carrier and someone that we believe can make a big impact for the future of this club.
“He has worked hard and put in the time to develop areas of his game that have been identified as areas to work on, and he is always willing to learn from those around him.
“He is also someone who cares deeply about being a Glasgow Warrior, and we know he will give his all for this club.”
