Glasgow Warriors to begin pre-season at Newcastle Red Bulls
31 Jul 2026Glasgow Warriors will kick off their pre-season schedule with a trip to face Newcastle Red Bulls on Saturday 5 September, with kick-off scheduled for 5pm at Kingston Park.
The fixture will be the first outing of the summer for Franco Smith’s squad as they step up preparations for the 2026/27 campaign, with the Warriors travelling south to take on the newly rebranded Newcastle side.
The club has already confirmed a home pre-season fixture against PREM opposition, with Bath set to visit Old Anniesland on Friday 18 September.
It will be Glasgow’s first visit to Kingston Park since April 2022, when the Warriors claimed a 29-19 victory over Newcastle Falcons in the EPCR Challenge Cup Round of 16.
The match will also see the Warriors come up against a familiar face in the opposition coaching box, with former Glasgow assistant coach Dan McFarland taking charge of Newcastle ahead of the new season.
