Gemma Bell is set to write a new chapter in the history of Glasgow Warriors this weekend, after the flanker was named on the bench for Scotland's Guinness Women's Six Nations clash with England this Saturday.

Should the former Scotland U20 standout come on to the field, she will become the first Glasgow Warrior to make her senior international debut after representing the Warriors in the Celtic Challenge in the same season.

Bell will become the ninth Warrior to represent Scotland, following in the footsteps of (by order of Warrior number): Louise McMillan, Lucy Winter, Mairi McDonald, Beth Blacklock, Coreen Grant, Lisa Martin, Abi Evans and Lisa Cockburn.

The 20-year-old was a powerful presence in the Glasgow pack during the 2024/25 Celtic Challenge, scoring tries away to Gwalia Lightning and at home to Edinburgh, scoring one of six tries in the latter match to help the Warriors to a first-ever victory in the competition.

Scotland take on England this Saturday afternoon at Mattioli Woods Welford Road in Leicester, with the match kicking off at 4.45pm live on BBC Two.
