First Lions start for Jones
Huw Jones will make his first start for the British & Irish Lions this Wednesday, after being named at outside centre for the midweek clash with the Queensland Reds in Brisbane.
The 31-year-old is the sole Glasgow Warriors representative in the matchday 23, having come off the bench in Saturday’s 54-7 win over the Wester Force to make his debut for the world’s most famous touring outfit.
He will become just the second Glasgow Warriors centre to ever start a match for the British & Irish Lions, following in the footsteps of Sione Tuipulotu after his appearances in the opening two starting lineups of the tour.
The match is live on Sky Sports, with kick-off scheduled for 11am this Wednesday.
