Celtic Challenge fixtures confirmed for 2024/25
Glasgow Warriors will open their 2024/25 Celtic Challenge campaign with a clash with their closest rivals, after competition organisers confirmed the calendar of fixtures ahead of the new season getting underway.
Lindsey Smith’s side will travel to Hive Stadium in what will also be the opening match of the overall competition, as the Warriors take on Edinburgh on Friday 20 December (kick-off 7.35pm) to get the new season underway.
After a rest week, Glasgow then travel to Belfast to bring in the New Year by taking on the Wolfhounds on Saturday 4 January (kick-off 2.30pm), before visiting Ystrad Mynach for a clash with Gwalia Lightning on Sunday 12 January (kick-off 1pm).
The club’s first home game of the 2024/25 campaign comes in round four, as Smith’s squad welcome the Clovers to Scotstoun on Saturday 25 January (kick-off 1pm) for their first run-out in front of the Warrior Nation since last February.
A home clash with the Wolfhounds follows a week later on Saturday 1 February (kick-off 11.30am) before travelling to Cork on Sunday 9 February (kick-off 3pm) for the reverse meeting with the Clovers.
The Warriors then welcome Edinburgh to Scotstoun on Saturday 15 February, with the club’s first-ever hosting of the all-Scottish affair scheduled to kick-off at 2pm.
Home ties against Gwalia Lightning (Saturday 22 February, kick-off 1pm) and Brython Thunder (Saturday 1 March, kick-off 3.45pm) close the club’s home campaign, with Smith’s squad completing their slate of 10 fixtures by taking on the Thunder in Llanelli on Sunday 9 March (kick-off 12pm).
Ticket information for the club’s home fixtures will be confirmed in due course, along with broadcast and full squad details.
