Nine Warriors selected for Scotland U21

8 May 2026

Nine Glasgow Warriors will run out for Scotland U21 in Edinburgh this Sunday, as Louise Dalgliesh's squad continue their U21 Six Nations Series by taking on Italy at Hive Stadium.

Megan Hyland captains the squad for the third successive fixture, as the hooker packs down between club-mates Poppy Fletcher and Imogen Spence in the front-row for Sunday’s clash.

An all-Glasgow second-row combination sees Aisla Merryweather come into the starting lineup to partner Gemma Thomson, the latter having started in both of Scotland’s fixtures in the series to date.

Behind the scrum, Ceitidh Ainsworth comes into the starting lineup to make her first start for Scotland U21 at scrum-half, as she links up with Poppy Mellanby in the half-backs.

Nicole Flynn is restored to the starting lineup after a two-try display against England on the opening weekend of the series, impressing both in attack and defence for Dalgliesh’s side.

Rianna Darroch completes the Glasgow contingent after being selected on the bench, having been selected in the matchday squad for all three of Scotland’s Guinness Six Nations fixtures to date.

Supporters can watch the match live on the Scottish Rugby YouTube channel, with kick-off scheduled for 1pm on Sunday.
