12 Warriors selected for Scotland U21

The squad will once again be captained by Megan Hyland, the hooker packing down in the middle of an all-Glasgow front-row alongside Poppy Fletcher and Imogen Spence.

Gemma Thomson continues in the second-row after an all-action display against England U21 a fortnight ago, the Stirling County product having been prominent in the loose as well as at the set-piece.

Gemma Bell comes into the side at openside flanker, having been a late call-up to the senior Scotland setup for the Guinness Six Nations after an injury to Evie Gallagher.

Poppy Mellanby starts at fly-half for the second successive outing, having impressed both with ball in hand as well as in defence against the English last time out.

Millie Warren will make her first start of the series after being selected at inside centre, having finished as the top points-scorer in Glasgow Warriors colours during the 2025/26 Celtic Challenge.

Emily Norval slots into the starting XV on the wing, joining fellow Glasgow flyer Hannah Smyth in the back-three for Saturday’s clash.

The bench sees Aicha Sutcliffe selected amongst the front-row cover, following an impressive Celtic Challenge campaign in Glasgow colours.

Ceitidh Ainsworth provides cover at both scrum-half and fly-half, whilst Nicole Flynn rotates to the bench after a two-try showing against England a fortnight ago.
