Jones selected in World Rugby Men’s 15s Dream Team of the Year
Huw Jones has named at outside centre the World Rugby Men’s 15s Dream Team of the Year, crowning a landmark year for the Glasgow Warriors and Scotland star.
The 31-year-old becomes the first active Glasgow Warrior to be selected in the end-of-year XV, as well as becoming only the second-ever Scotland international to achieve the feat.
Jones enjoyed a productive campaign for Franco Smith’s squad during 2024/25, crossing for six tries in 10 appearances, including a memorable finish in a 33-14 victory over Edinburgh in front of 27,538 spectators at Hampden Park.
On the international stage, too, Jones was in scintillating form; a hat-trick in a 31-19 win over Italy at Scottish Gas Murrayfield opened the Guinness Six Nations in style, adding a further score against England at Allianz Stadium.
His displays for club and country saw Jones selected for the 2025 British & Irish Lions tour of Australia, with the centre going on to be one of the tour’s star performers and starting in all three Test matches.
Jones crossed for four tries during his seven appearances for the men in red, including a crucial score in the decisive second Test victory over Australia to help Andy Farrell’s squad secure a first series triumph in 12 years.
