Glasgow Warriors v Edinburgh: Everything you need to know
Glasgow Warriors take on Edinburgh at Scotstoun Stadium on Friday 23 December (kick-off 7.35pm) in the opening match of the 2022/23 1872 Cup. Here's your match day guide with everything you need to know before kick-off:
Food Bank Donation
In what is becoming a Scotstoun tradition, Glasgow Warriors will be encouraging the Warrior Nation to donate to those most in-need ahead of the 1872 Cup Clash against Edinburgh, as we collect food bank donations alongside Heart of Scotstoun.
Supporters will be encouraged to donate non-perishable items at a designated donation point at Scotstoun ahead of kick-off, with all donations supporting Heart of Scotstoun’s drive this festive season.
Based on Balmoral Street just a 15-minute walk from the stadium, Heart of Scotstoun community centre welcomes over 1,000 visitors every week as they seek to reduce social isolation within the local community.
We’re calling on the Warrior Nation to get into the festive spirit this weekend – we want you to dig out your Christmas jumpers and wear them with pride in the stands this Friday night!
It’s all in aid of Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity, who will be around the stadium campus with donation buckets on the night, so please give generously if you can.
Get your photo taken with the newly refurbished 1872 Cup in The Clubhouse pre-match.
Do you have someone you’d like to give a special shout-out to at Scotstoun on Friday night?
Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org by 5pm on Thursday 22 December with a message and accompanying image (if applicable) and we’ll see what we can do…
