Glasgow Warriors to visit Zebre Parma for pre-season matchup
Glasgow Warriors will face Scottish-Italian Shield counterparts Zebre Parma ahead of the 2024/25 campaign getting underway, after it was confirmed that the two sides will face off in Parma at the end of August prior to the new season.
The fixture will see Franco Smith’s squad return to Stadio Sergio Lanfranchi on Friday 30 August (kick-off 7.30pm UK time) to take on the Italian franchise, having earned a 40-9 victory in Parma last weekend to move top of the BKT United Rugby Championship standings after 15 rounds.
Preparations for the new campaign are already underway, with Scotland fly-half Adam Hastings, British and Irish Lions prop Rory Sutherland and Exeter tight-head Patrick Schickerling already confirmed as new arrivals ahead of the new season getting underway.
Scotland internationals including Huw Jones and Jamie Dobie, in addition to up-and-coming talents such as Jack Mann and Ben Afshar, have also committed their futures to the club, as the Warriors continue to build ahead of the new campaign.
Further pre-season fixture information will be confirmed in due course.
