Eight players to leave Glasgow Warriors at end of season

Glasgow Warriors can confirm that eight players will be moving on from Scotstoun at the end of the current campaign, with supporters to have the opportunity to show their appreciation for the group following Friday night’s BKT United Rugby Championship Quarter Final against the DHL Stormers.

The group joins Allan Dell and Richie Gray – both having departed the club for new opportunities during the 2024/25 season – in making the switch to pastures new, along with Assistant Coach Pete Murchie, who will take up a new coaching role overseas next season.

Supporters are encouraged to remain in their seats following the full-time whistle on Friday night, as the club acknowledges the contribution of each leaver with an on-field presentation.

By order of Glasgow Warriors appearances, the eight players departing the club at the end of the season are:

Tom Jordan | Warrior #343

Comfortable at either fly-half or centre, 24-year-old Jordan’s summer switch to Bristol Bears was announced earlier in the 2024/25 campaign.

A near ever-present since making his debut away to Benetton in the opening match o the 2022/23 season, the former Ayrshire Bull has scored 119 points in his 69 appearances for the club to date, including 10 tries in Glasgow colours.

An integral member of the 2024 BKT URC title-winning squad, Jordan featured in all 21 of Glasgow’s matches en route to lifting the trophy in Pretoria last June.

Sebastian Cancelliere | Warrior #336

A fan favourite with the Warrior Nation, Argentinian winger Cancelliere departs after a four-year spell at Scotstoun filled with memorable moments in a Glasgow Warriors jersey.

Included amongst his 23 tries for the club are an 81st-minute diving finish to secure victory over the DHL Stormers in January 2023, a try in the 2023 EPCR Challenge Cup Final, and crucial scores in last season’s quarter-final and semi-final wins over the Stormers and Munster respectively to enhance his reputation as a big-game player.

His form in the 2022/23 season saw him voted as Denholm Energy Services Players’ Player of the Season, further underlining the respect with which Cancelliere is held by his peers.

Henco Venter | Warrior #353

Venter – who will join French outfit CA Brive ahead of the 2025/26 season – is another to have endeared himself to the Warrior Nation since his arrival in the summer of 2023, having swiftly become a regular in the Glasgow Warriors matchday 23 under Franco Smith.

Capable of playing across the back-row, he made 21 appearances in all competitions in his debut season at Scotstoun, scoring his first try for the club in unforgettable fashion in last season’s BKT URC quarter-final win over the DHL Stormers.

Known for his abrasiveness in both attack and defence, a two-try showing saw Venter claim Player of the Match honours in victory over Leicester Tigers in the Investec Champions Cup last-16 back in April.

Sean Kennedy | Warrior #208

Scrum-half Kennedy moves on after a six-year second stint at Scotstoun, having initially made his Glasgow Warriors debut against Zebre Parma at Scotstoun whilst on loan back in 2012.

The former Alloa RFC man has made 32 appearances across all competitions in a Glasgow Warriors jersey, including a memorable try-scoring start at home to Ulster in November 2023.

Kennedy has also played a key role in helping to develop the next generation of Glasgow Warriors, recently featuring in Glasgow Warriors U23 and A squads that took on Benetton U23 and Black Lion respectively.

JP du Preez | Warrior #344

Du Preez made a popular return to action in March 2025, coming off the bench against the Ospreys at Scotstoun to end a 650-day spell on the sidelines following a knee injury sustained in August 2023.

Prior to his injury, the second-rower was a fixture in Glasgow Warriors matchday squads, featuring in all bar one of the club’s matches in the 2022/23 season and playing a vital role in helping Franco Smith’s squad reach the 2023 EPCR Challenge Cup Final.

The tallest man to play for Glasgow Warriors in club history, the South African’s sole try in his 32 appearances to date came in a 50-8 win over Zebre Parma at Scotstoun in April 2023.

Jack Mann | Warrior #349

Another to have endured a lengthy injury layoff, Mann’s eye-catching form since making his first Glasgow Warriors appearance in 720 days saw the back-rower recognised with a first-ever Scotland call-up ahead of the 2025 Guinness Six Nations.

The 25-year-old will move to Gloucester this summer, after a campaign that saw him earn the Mackenzie Construction Most Improved Player of the Season accolade at the club’s annual Awards Dinner.

Mann has scored two tries in 13 appearances to date in Glasgow colours, scoring in back-to-back matches against the Dragons and Ospreys earlier this year.

Facundo Cordero | Warrior #358

Argentinian winger Cordero marked his club debut in style in February 2024, crossing for a try in a 40-7 win over the Dragons at Scotstoun in Origin Round.

The flyer then repeated the feat a year later, touching down in Origin Round once more, this time against the Ospreys in front of the Warrior Nation.

Comfortable at full-back as well as on the wing, Cordero’s most recent outing came as part of the Glasgow Warriors A team that ran Black Lion close at Scotstoun, impressing onlookers in a lively performance in front of the watching supporters.

Logan Trotter

Former Stirling County winger Trotter departs after two seasons at Scotstoun, having featured prominently in pre-season matches in both the summers of 2023 and 2024.

Signed from London Irish in the summer of 2023, the Harrogate-born winger was a former Scotland 7s training squad member alongside future Glasgow team-mate, Kyle Rowe.

Trotter has since been on loan at Coventry in the latter part of the 2024/25 season.

Head Coach Smith paid tribute to the club’s leavers, telling glasgowwarriors.org: “We are always disappointed when the time comes to say goodbye to any player, and I would like to personally thank each and every one of our leavers for the contribution they have made to this club.

“Each player has contributed massively during their time at Scotstoun, not only through their efforts on the field but in their dedication to leaving the jersey in a better place for those to follow.

“We would like to wish all of our leavers and their families well in their next adventure and they will forever be a Glasgow Warrior – once a Warrior, always a Warrior.”
