Three changes ahead of Ulster clash

A Glasgow Warriors team showing three changes from last weekend’s victory over Munster, as Franco Smith’s men return home to Scotstoun to take on Ulster this Saturday evening.
In what will be the first fixture hosted on the new Scotstoun pitch, a Glasgow squad captained by Stafford McDowall will look to continue the momentum earned from their round one win when they host Ulster in front of the Warrior Nation.
Fin Richardson comes into the front row to start at tight-head prop for his first appearance of the 2026/27 season, joining Patrick Schickerling and Gregor Hiddleston up front.
An unchanged second row combination sees Max Williamson once again partner Gregor Brown in the engine room, the pair having dove-tailed well at the set-piece and in the loose at Thomond Park last weekend.
Angus Fraser starts at openside in the only change to the back row, linking up with Ally Miller and Matt Fagerson in the loose forward trio.
George Horne and Dan Lancaster continue as the half-back partnership, the former having extended his club try-scoring record with his 67th score in Glasgow colours last time out.
Sione Tuipulotu lines up at inside centre for his first outing of the campaign, the Scotland captain slotting in alongside McDowall in the midfield for this weekend’s home opener.
Jamie Dobie continues on the wing after crossing for a brace of tries on his 100th appearance for the club last weekend, with Kyle Rowe and Josh McKay completing the starting XV.
The only alteration to the bench sees Rory Darge rotate to the replacements after starting in Limerick last weekend, forming part of a six-two split of forwards and backs.
Seb Stephen, Nathan McBeth and Sam Talakai are retained as the front row replacements, the trio having made an impressive impact upon their introduction last time out.
Scott Cummings continues in the number 19 jersey, with Macenzzie Duncan covering the back row positions.
Bayley Kuenzle is in line for his first run-out at Scotstoun after making his club debut last weekend, whilst Callum Reidy could make his professional debut after being an unused replacement at Thomond Park.
Speaking following selection, Head Coach Smith told glasgowwarriors.org: “Our hard work last week paid off with the right result, but we know that there is still more to come from this group of players.
“Ulster will be a tough opponent as we see year upon year – they play well both at home and away and have international quality throughout their squad, so we know we will have a tough challenge in front of us on Saturday.”
“We’re looking forward to running out at Scotstoun for the first time this season – a lot of work has gone in behind the scenes to get the pitch and the stadium ready for this weekend, and we want to go out and produce a performance that reflects that effort.”

Combined with the £92,000 from last season, together we have raised a total of over £250,000 for @gch_charity 🙌
Behind that figure are so many stories: every donation, event, challenge and supporter who got others involved. Thank… pic.twitter.com/1VWiLj9zWG
