Shortlist revealed for One Four Nine Wealth Men’s Warrior of the Month for April

The quartet have been shortlisted by Head Coach Franco Smith for their efforts both on and off the field across the month, with the Warriors having booked their place in the BKT URC playoffs.

The nominees are:

Stafford McDowall

McDowall once again showed his quality in the Glasgow midfield across April, turning in a series of high-quality performances for Smith’s squad.

A Player of the Match-winning performance against the Vodacom Bulls helped his side to reach the Investec Champions Cup quarter-finals, with the centre scoring what ultimately proved to be the winning try for good measure.

The Scotland international also grabbed a try against the Fidelity SecureDrive Lions in the first match of Glasgow’s double-header in South Africa, showcasing his strong ball-carrying and intelligent running lines to good effect.

Patrick Schickerling

Namibian-born prop Schickerling has continued to be a fixture in the Glasgow Warriors matchday 23 throughout April, quietly impressing supporters and pundits alike with his performances in the front-row.

A try against the Vodacom Bulls capped an all-action display from the prop, producing a series of barnstorming carries in challenging conditions.

In defence, too, Schickerling has caught the eye, regularly featuring in the front-line of defenders against a barrage of opposition carriers.

Rory Darge

Openside flanker Darge is shortlisted after two totemic performances in the Investec Champions Cup to start the month, leading from the front for Smith’s side.

No Warrior made more tackles than his tally of 19 against the Vodacom Bulls, adding a turnover to his stats sheet for good measure.

His efforts against Toulon a week later were just as impressive, claiming three turnovers amidst a heroic defensive effort against the French heavyweights.

Gregor Hiddleston

Hiddleston continued to add to his burgeoning reputation across April, as the hooker found himself at the heart of the Glasgow pack throughout their on-field battles in both the Investec Champions Cup and BKT URC.

The hooker’s try against Toulon raised the roof at Scotstoun, producing a superb finish under pressure from opposing scrum-half Ben White.

He then crossed for his seventh try of the BKT URC campaign away to the DHL Stormers, moving him joint-top of the Glasgow Warriors try-scoring charts for the 2025/26 season.
