Team named for next round of Celtic Challenge competition.

Lindsey Smith makes four changes to starting line up to the team to face Wolfhounds in Saturday’s game against Woldhounds in the Celtic Challenge.

Captain Ailie Tucker will once again lead out the squad as they take to the pitch at Kingspan Stadium, in their second game of the competition.

Megan Hyland and Aicha Sutcliff have rotated from replacement to starting respectively at hooker. Katie Lindsay completes the front row with her second start in a Warriors top.

Holland Bogan is joined by Aisha Zameer for her first start for Glasgow Warriors having come off the bench against Edinburgh.

The back-row has two changes to the starting line up with Erinn Foley and Gemma Bell coming into the mix, while Emily Coubrough starts at eight following her first game at seven.

The nine/ten partnership of Mairi McDonald and Ceitdh Ainsworth remain unchanged with Briar McNamara and Orla Proctor providing the stability in the centres.

Grace Deane and Abi Evans take on the role of winger, with Evans being handed her first run out for Glasgow Warriors.  Sky Phimster moves into full back, following scoring the first try of the competition against Edinburgh last month.

Looking for impact off the bench, Smith has named Aicha Sutcliff, Alex Ward and Louise Downie as front row cover. Rowann Sinclair and Freya Walker are named as back row cover.  Mary Nelson and Poppy Mellanby are joined by Izzy Guire Evans to complete the match day squad.

Following selection, Head Coach Smith told glasgowarriors.org: “We are glad to be back into game week after a week off.

“The squad have continued to train well over the festive period. It’s exciting to have some new faces into the match day squad to take on wolfhounds which is developing the depth of our squad.

“Wolfhounds will be another strong challenge but it’s important that we transfer what we have executed on the training field into the game and focus on our game.”
