Glasgow dropped down into third position in the league after last weekend’s loss to Benetton. A game which the team will be keen to put behind them as the head into th e business end of the season.

Both Leinster and Glasgow have secured playoff positions, however, both teams will be firing on all cylinders to give them the best chance at gaining momentum in the league.

Leinster’s most recent URC defeat at gome was to Ulster on New Years Day in 2024, however, the team were beaten by Northampton Saints in the Semi-Final of the Champions Cup just a few weeks ago. This shows, that despite being ‘the team to beat’ they are beatable at home.

Glasgow last faced Leinster at the Aviva in the quarter-final of the Champions Cup, where Leinster took the win.

Back in the URC Glasgow have had an even split of away wins and losses of their eight away games so far. The team are now just behind Leinster in the Attack stats overall, but Glasgow still lead the league in terms of metres made and defenders beaten.

Leinster have scored more tries than anyone else in the league and will no doubt be looking to add more to them this weekend.  Glasgow will be aiming to prove a point after their last visit to the Aviva and could be bolstered by the return of some players following injury.  That being said, there are still key players missing from the squad, with the likes of Zander and Matt Fagerson both being injured as well as Jack Dempsey.

Regardless of the squads, the games promises to be one of physical attacking rugby from both teams.
