What’s On | Leinster | Family Day

Our opening game in the 2023/24 BKT United Rugby Championship is doubling up as our Family Day event this season. Our league campaign begins against Leinster at Scotstoun Stadium on Sunday 22 October.

Gates will open at 2.30pm for a 4pm kick off. For this match we’re laying on ticket offers and activities for families to enjoy.

Family Match Ticket Offer – Bookings of two adults and two children can save up to £16 on match tickets in Categories 4-6 across Scotstoun Stadium.

Group Match Ticket Offer– Bookings of 15 people or more can receive a 15% discount on match tickets in Categories 4-6 across Scotstoun Stadium.

Please note, stadium operators Glasgow Life are awaiting the report of the survey of the The Clubhouse to understand the extent of which RAAC was used in the hall’s construction.

Therefore, The Clubhouse remains closed for the foreseeable future. There is no suitable alternative indoor bar solution found for Sunday’s match. However, the Club is working with Glasgow Life to implement a new Clubhouse in the main leisure centre building going forward from the Stormers match in two weeks’ time.

Inflatables

On the SP Energy Networks Community Pitch, we’ll have a variety of rugby-themed inflatables to enjoy, including Swan Dive, Tacklometer, Line Out Throw and Rugby Darts. We’ll also have face painting in this area.

To take part in each of these we’re suggesting a £1 donation per go. This goes directly towards our £25,000 goal for our Fighting for our Families campaign for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity.

Rugby matches

Also, on the pitches we’ll have our regular rugby matches. Teams competing on the night will be confirmed soon.

Live Music

Returning to The Warriors Pavilion are our house band, The Back Green Band. They’ll be playing their repertoire of pop sing-a-longs and classic rock hits. The Pavilion is next to the West Stand for this game.

Macron Store

Meanwhile the Macron Store is once again behind the East Stand and will be stocked for anyone wishing to purchase this season’s home and away jerseys.

Sponsor Activations

Around the stadium we’ll also have a new passing challenge provided by our partner Scot JCB. You won’t want to miss this, it’s got rugby balls and digger buckets.

Brillband will be serving up chocolate from their bike cart.

Autograph Book and Signing Session

This week we have our brand new 28-page autograph book on sale around the stadium. It is £4 per book and our SP Energy Networks Scotstoun Squad will be selling it. Please note the book can be purchased with contactless payment only.

After the game you’ll have the chance to meet and greet the team in our on-pitch signing session. To enter the pitch head to the south west (next to the small big screen) and the north east corner (next to the big screen). SP Energy Networks Scotstoun Squad will be on hand to guide you.

Sensory Services

We’re delighted to be welcoming back Aoife’s Bus. This allows us to offer a quite sensory space for anyone who would like to use it. If you wish to use this space, you’ll find the bus parked in the South west corner of the stadium, next to the SP Energy Networks Community Pitch.

We are committed to improving our services for those with additional support needs. Therefore, we are also introducing new SP Energy Networks Sensory Packs that can be requested for the match. These include ear defenders and a selection of colourful toys to play with. We have six packs available and these can be requested by emailing our Event Manager, robyn.struthers@glasgowwarriors.org
