With a home semi-final place on the line, the final match of the 2018/19 Guinness PRO14 regular season had more riding on it than your usual 1872 Cup clash.

An Edinburgh side packed with Scotland internationals had emerged victorious in both meetings earlier in the season, and travelled west looking to make it a clean sweep over the home side at Scotstoun.

This was a different Glasgow Warriors side, however; with their eyes firmly set on the 2019 Guinness PRO14 Final at Celtic Park, Dave Rennie’s men were in the mood for some running rugby in front of the Warrior Nation…
