Vailanu selected for Tonga clash with Australia A
Glasgow Warriors back-rower Sione Vailanu has been named in Tonga’s first matchday squad of 2023, as the Ikale Tahi begin their Rugby World Cup warm-up matches against Australia A this Friday.
The 28-year-old is included amongst the replacements for the clash, which takes place at Teufaiva Stadium at 3am UK time on Friday morning.
Vailanu made an instant impact at Scotstoun during his first season with the club, scoring six tries in 20 appearances and becoming a firm favourite with the Warrior Nation thanks to his all-action performances in the back-row.
Updates will be available on the Official Tonga Rugby page on Instagram.
