Trio sign on with Warriors
Glasgow Warriors have added more strength in depth to their squad ahead of the new season.
Flanker Thomas Gordon has signed a year-long Partnership contract with the club and will share his time between the Warriors and Currie Chieftains.
The 21-year old, originally from Rotorua in New Zealand, qualifies for Scotland through his grandparents and was in the U20s squad in 2017.
He trained extensively with the Warriors last season whilst also playing for Currie as they reached the BT Premiership finals.
Hooker James Malcolm has re-signed with the club on a short-term deal. The 23-year old has played 25 times for the Warriors to date, scoring three tries in the process.
Scotland international Kevin Bryce has also re-joined the club on a short-term contract after two years away from Scotstoun playing for Edinburgh.
The 29-year old played ten times for Glasgow and earned three Scotland caps during his previous stint with the Warriors and will work with the hookers during pre-season.
Glasgow Warriors Forwards Coach Jonathan Humphreys said: “Tom is an exciting player and we were really impressed with his physicality and dynamism in training last year.
“He has huge potential and will continue to learn and develop in our environment.
“With Fraser Brown and George Turner away for this first pre-season block and Pat MacArthur retiring, James has come back in to add strength in depth to the hooker position.
“I always preferred Kev as a hooker and he has a chance with us now to see if he can reach the high standards he achieved a few years ago when he was playing international rugby.”
