Ali Price made his debut for Glasgow Warriors against Scarlets in November 2014.
His consistency and high-class performances saw him earn a well-deserved selection in the 2021 British and Irish Lions tour, named as one of the three number nines in the 37-man touring party by Head Coach Warren Gatland.
The scrum-half was named McCrea Financial Services Player of the Season for the 2016/17 season, after a year that saw him become a regular for both club and country, helping the Warriors to a first European Champions Cup quarter-final.
Price then repeated the feat in 2018/19, once again being voted as the McCrea Financial Services Player of the Season after a stellar campaign.
He has a knack for turning in highly impactful performances on the big occasion, including a classic scrum-half snipe of a try against Ulster in the 2019 Guinness PRO14 semi-final and finishing off a crucial score against Edinburgh at Scotstoun in December 2019.
The scrum-half made his 100th appearance in Glasgow colours in the opening match of the club’s 2021/22 Heineken Champions Cup campaign away to La Rochelle, captaining the side for the first time to boot.
Born in Kings Lynn, England, Price qualifies for Scotland through his mother, representing Scotland at U20 level before making his international debut against Georgia in November 2016.
A scrum-half for RFU championship side Bedford Blues, Price previously was part of the Saracens Storm ‘A’ league set-up and is a winner at the Melrose 7s.
He is also a keen scuba diver and cricket player; he has represented Cambridgeshire County Cricket U17s.
