Squad Update
Ahead of Saturday’s (1 October, KO 3.05pm) third round game against Ospreys in the BKT United Rugby Championship, Glasgow Warriors provide the following squad update:
Rory Darge received surgery following the ankle injury sustained in the early stages of the match against Cardiff Rugby on Friday night. The surgery was successful and Darge will now begin rehabilitation that will see him out of action for several months.
Ollie Smith and Ross Thompson return to training this week having completed their rehabilitation on injuries to their backs, bringing them both into contention for selection for the first time this season.
In addition, Sione Vailanu is back training having recovered from a period of sickness.
Lewis Bean is progressing through Return to Play protocols after sustaining a head injury in training last week.
Nathan McBeth (knee) is expected to return to training in the coming weeks, meanwhile, Allan Dell (calf), Jamie Dobie (hamstring), Huw Jones (back), Ally Miller (back) and Enrique Pieretto (shoulder) all continue their rehabilitation process from their respective injuries.
