Competition Terms & Conditions

Introduction

Glasgow Warriors together with its Official Community Partner, SP Energy Networks are promoting valued members of the rugby community across the club’s regions – Caledonia, Glasgow North and Glasgow South – through a promotional feature called SP Energy Networks Community Hero Spotlight. Each month through 2023/24 representatives from across the grassroots game can enter nominees for consideration to be highlighted through this promotional feature.

For the purposes of these Terms & Conditions the SP Energy Networks Community Hero Spotlight will be refer to as The Competition.

By participating in The Competition you are agreeing to these competition terms and conditions. The competition is being run by Glasgow Warriors.

Eligibility to Enter

The Competition is open to entrants over 18 years of age. Glasgow Warriors employees and associates are excluded from the draw. Entrants can be nominated by a third party.

By entering The Competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and that you are eligible to receive any prizes that may be awarded to you.

There is a limit of one entry per person and the competition is completely free to enter.

The Prize

The winning prize will be automatic entry into the shortlist for Glasgow Warriors’ SP Energy Networks Community Hero Award, won at the club’s annual Awards Dinner in May/June.

The use of specific brands as prizes by Glasgow Warriors does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement of such brands.

The prize is non-transferable and non-exchangeable, and no cash alternatives will be provided.

We reserve the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value if circumstances beyond our control require doing so.

Glasgow Warriors’ decision on any aspect of the competition is final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into about it.

Winner Announcement

The winner will be chosen by a panel made up of the Glasgow Warriors Community Manager, Communications Assistant, Lead Account Manager, and a representative from the title sponsor. The winner will be notified via the email address provided within one day of the draw.

Glasgow Warriors will make two attempts to contact the winner via email.

If the winner does not respond to the emails informing them of their win within seven days of the second email, they forfeit their right to the prize, and Glasgow Warriors reserves the right to select and notify a new winner. Publication of the winner will be on Glasgow Warriors website and social media channels, once the winner has been informed and acknowledged receipt of that information.

Delivery of the Prize

There is no physical prize for The Competition. Invitations will be sent out for the Annual Awards Dinner in the month leading up to the event. Each winner will be given two tickets, one of which must be used by themselves. If the winner is unable to attend the event, they can nominate someone else to stand in for them on the night, with prior arrangement from Glasgow Warriors.

Data Protection and Publicity

You agree that any personal information that you provide when entering the competition will be used by Glasgow Warriors for the purposes of administering the competition and for the other purposes as specified in our Privacy Policy.

All entrants may request information on the winning participant by emailing info@glasgowwarriors.org

If requested by Glasgow Warriors, the winner agrees to release their name, rugby club and role at that club to any other competition participants.

The winner’s name, rugby club and service to that club will be announced on Glasgow Warriors’ website and social media channels.

Limitation of Liability

Glasgow Warriors accepts no liability for any damage, loss, injury, or disappointment suffered by any entrants as a result of participating in the competition or being selected for a prize.

General

Glasgow Warriors reserves the right, at any time and without prior notice, to cancel the competition or amend these terms and conditions.
