Gregor Townsend has named seven Glasgow Warriors in his starting XV for Scotland’s final game of the Guinness Six Nations, versus Ireland at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday (19 March, kick-off 4.45pm).
A total of eight Glasgow Warriors have been named in Scotland’s matchday 23, with Glasgow Warriors Co-Captain Fraser Brown in line for his first involvement in almost 16 months after being named amongst the replacements.
Tight-head Zander Fagerson and hooker George Turner both retain their place in the starting squad and continue their run of being named in all of Gregor Townsend’s matchday squads for this year’s tournament.
Rory Darge is named at open-side flanker and is joined in the back-row by Matt Fagerson, who had a perfect tackle count against Italy five days ago.
After a clinical Player-of-the-Match performance Ali Price is named as starting scrum-half for his fifth consecutive start this tournament.
Try scorer in last weekend’s fixture, Sam Johnson, is named at inside centre and is joined in the backline by Kyle Steyn who’s perfectly weighted kick to Chris Harris was a standout moment from the game in Rome.
