Playing Their Part

Helping you get on the move, supporting food banks and supporting Glasgow communities - check out how the Glasgow Warriors' family of sponsors and partners have been Playing Their Part

SP Energy Networks

SP Energy Networks were proud to officially open the first six of up to 180 public electric vehicle charging points, with the club’s Official Community Partner working in partnership with Transport Scotland, North Lanarkshire Council and South Lanarkshire Council.

These charging points have been installed at Strathclyde Country Park with the aim to triple Lanarkshire’s electric vehicle charging capacity. This is just one of the exciting projects they are supporting in our journey to net zero. Additionally their Green Economy Fund has helped fund electric minibuses, electric vans and people carriers with a £1.2 million investment in Lanarkshire.

Leidos

A Glasgow-based team of graduates and apprentices from Official Club Sponsor Leidos has taken home the top prize at a national competition testing project management skills, concluding a successful nine-month event testing and sharpening skills for the next generation.

The Leidos team created a project aimed at collecting sportswear and equipment for Achieve More Scotland, which organises sports and other diversionary activities for young people from areas of high social deprivation.

The countdown to rugby’s return is well and truly underway, and Official Vehicle Partner Land Rover have been getting in shape ahead of the restart.

Former Bath prop and TV pundit David Flatman showed off a Land Rover Defender as he and Land Rover encouraged everyone to get excited for kick-off.

Clyde Travel Management

With many travel operators starting to re-open for business in line with government guidelines on COVID-19, Clyde Travel Management are doing their bit to ensure travellers remain safe, healthy and relaxed on any journey they may be making in upcoming weeks.

The Glasgow-based company have produced a series of guides detailing best practice for travelling safely, as part of the BTA’s ‘Travel with Confidence’ campaign.

Investec

Official Club Partner Investec have been continuing their support of Glasgow Food Banks in recent weeks, announcing that they will be extending their support – alongside the Trussell Trust – until at least October 2020.

The move will allow Glasgow Food Banks to continue to provide a vital resource for those most in need across Scotland’s largest city, with a 30% increase in users since the onset of COVID-19 back in March.
