One change for Exeter encounter
Glasgow Warriors Head Coach Dave Rennie has made just one alteration to the side that claimed victory over Sale Sharks last weekend, as Chris Fusaro comes into the side in place of fellow openside Callum Gibbins.
Having opened their Heineken Champions Cup campaign with a victory for the first time since the 2016/17 campaign, Dave Rennie’s men will square off against the beaten finalists from last season’s
English Premiership, as they go in search of consecutive victories in Europe’s premier club competition.
Oli Kebble once again starts alongside Scotland international duo Fraser Brown and Zander Fagerson in the front-row, with the trio lining up together for the third successive match.
An impressive performance at the set-piece last weekend sees Rob Harley and Scott Cummings continue together in the second-row, with the latter claiming four line-outs – more than any other
player at Scotstoun last weekend.
Fusaro partners captain Ryan Wilson on the flanks, as Matt Fagerson maintains his record of starting every match so far this season by lining up at number eight.
George Horne continues at scrum-half, with last weekend’s Man of the Match Adam Hastings starting at fly-half.
Sam Johnson and Nick Grigg form the midfield partnership, after Grigg’s 16 tackles last weekend saw him out-perform all other backs in the Heineken Champions Cup.
Last weekend’s try-scorer DTH van der Merwe and Ratu Tagive start on the wings, with Tommy Seymour once again named at full-back.
There are two changes to the replacements from last weekend’s victory – Fusaro’s inclusion in the starting XV sees Tom Gordon come onto the bench, whilst Kiran McDonald replaces Tim Swinson.
Alex Allan and D’arcy Rae once again provide cover for the starting props, whilst George Turner will wear the number 16 jersey.
Pete Horne’s experience and versatility sees him retain his place on the bench, with Ali Price and Kyle Steyn rounding out the replacements for the Scotstoun side.
On his selection Dave Rennie said: “We reward performance, last weekend we went well especially up front and I’m looking for the boys to put in another shift this weekend.
“Chris (Fusaro) is very experienced with 160 odd caps and is a worthy replacement for Callum (Gibbins) who picked up a shoulder injury in the last minute of last weekend’s game.
“Exeter have a good set piece and skill set, and a guy we know a fair bit about in the backs. They will ask questions of us up front and we need to be strong again there.”
