Harley claims Warrior of the Month

The first McCrea Financial Services Warrior of the Month award was handed out last week, as the club’s most experienced player Rob Harley claimed the award for September 2019.

The flanker was selected by the club’s S&C staff, in a month dominated by pre-season before the club’s opening Guinness PRO14 match of the new campaign.

By my reckoning that’s the 7th time the ginger ninja has been the Warrior of the month. https://t.co/9jsHMzChRK

DTH calls time on Canada career

Unquestionably one of his country’s greatest ever players, DTH van Der Merwe announced his retirement from international rugby at the end of last week following an illustrious career for Canada.

He finishes as the all-time leading try-scorer for the men in red after finishing with 38 tries in 61 appearances, whilst also running out at four Rugby World Cups.

There was disappointment for new signing Aki Seiuli over the weekend, as he bade farewell to his Otago team-mates after their 44-39 Mitre 10 semi-final loss to Hawke’s Bay.

Back to business
