“The boys stuck to the process” | Bell pleased with third bonus point win

Glasgow Warriors recorded their third bonus point win in a row last night away to Dragons at Cardiff City Stadium.
In a fast-paced and physical affair, the visitors claimed a 16 – 27 bonus point victory over their hosts despite having three tries disallowed at various stages in the game.
For attack coach Jonny Bell, the performance was exactly what the club had been looking for after two previous defeats to Dragons this season.
“We’re delighted,” he told glasgowwarriors.org.
“We asked for physicality against the Dragons – that’s where we felt we fell short the last time – and the boys gave us that in bucket loads.
“Our physicality was the foundation of our victory. We hit them hard in attack and defence and our ability to make things happen tonight was great.
“We’re delighted and the boys are in a really good place.”
Speaking on the three disallowed tries, Bell said: “When you get three tries chalked off you’re thinking what we do we have to do here to try and get over the whitewash.
“But, the boys stuck to the process and kept working hard for each other.
“We knew if we could get ourselves some field position even as the game went on we had the ability to hurt Dragons.
“Our maul was paying dividends. We were getting good go forward from it and when we were able to move the ball to the edge at the right time we were creating space through the likes of Adam [Hastings], Cole [Forbes] and Kyle [Steyn].
“We always felt that fourth try was coming, but it just took a little longer than expected.”
Glasgow have just six days before they take on Leinster at Scotstoun in the club’s final Rainbow Cup fixture.
“The guys are in a good emotional space – they’re enjoying rugby and playing with a smile on their faces,” said Bell.
“We know what you get with Leinster. They’re a fantastic side – without any disrespect to Dragons – it’s a step up playing Leinster.
“We’ve got focus on ourselves, make sure we’re in a good space, recover well and go again on Friday night.”
