Despite Edinburgh’s efforts, Glasgow remained on top at the end of the match.
This win saw Glasgow maintain their winning streak at both home and away. This momentum is something they will be keen to bring into Friday’s second round clash. This win also moves Glasgow into sixth position on the URC League table.

Edinburgh, now in tenth position will certainly be ready to bring their all to Friday’s match. Being the current holders of the 1872 Cup, Edinburgh will be fighting to defend that title. Especially at BT Murrayfield, Edinburgh, will be expectant to hold on to their trophy for another year.
The game promises to be a repeat of Friday’s close encounter with both teams bring everything they have in the last game of 2022 and to bring in the New Year with a win and the coveted 1872 Cup.
